Virginia Nomsa Mkaza, managing Director of ACETE, is a Social Development Practitioner whose engagement with communities runs deep. She has worked extensively with various (sectors) Departments in National, Provincial and Local government levels. She worked on International level with the World Bank, Unicef, and United Nations Development Programmes (UNDP)and European Union.
Nomsa’s work focuses on education, training and capacity building, community development, skills development, and research and reviews.
Some of ACETE’s (her)major assignments include research and reviews for the National Department of Housing, the BoTT (build, operate, train and transfer) programmed for the Department of Water Affairs (DWA), and the review of the five-year of Expanded Community-based Public Works programme (EPWP) projects in Eastern Cape.
ACETE plays a supportive role to other professional disciplines through participatory methodologies. ACETE offers services to Public Sector, Private Sector as well as to other community development organisations.
