Skills development - Empower Public Officials and Councillors on Management Skills so as to improve effectiveness and efficiency in service delivery.

• Organisational development skills - Train and transfer Capacity to Officials and Local Councillors on Good Governance.
• Project management skills - Provide specific skills training programmes on Project Management both to Public and Private.
• Preparation of training material - Design and prepare training materials for specific target groups.
• HIV/AIDS advocacy and training - Provide Awareness and Education campaigns for Public Sector, Private Sector as well as Communities.

This is driven by the following:

• Community needs audit - Enable communities to identify their own needs so that they develop their own visions.
• Conduct workshops on government policies - Conduct workshops on government policies for councillors and community structures to assist them to translate policies into effective practice.
• Monitoring and evaluation of projects - Conduct appraisals, research and review for various government programmes.

Facilitation involves giving Institutional and Social support Public Sector, Private Sector and Communities using participatory approaches. It also encourages a Batho Pele mind-set in development programmes. It involves:

• Facilitating training and Capacity Building for various stakeholders
• Setting up of communication structures.
• Community mobilisation and setting up of communication structures for identified projects
• Institutional and social facilitation - Promote community participation in projects.
• Training and empowerment of committees on various modulest.

Facilitate strategic planning workshops for Municipal Officials, to provide them with a guiding framework for action planning.  

Measure and assess the impact and effectiveness of National, Provincial and Local government development programmes. It involves:

• Socio-economic studies.
• Social Impact studies
• Quantitative and qualitative research.
• Surveys.
• Audits and Risk Assessments.

Provide LED support to local Municipalities and communities. Encompassing a range of disciplines including:

• SMME Empowerment
• Marketing
• Fund raising
• Physical planning
• Economics

Institutional support to the private sector - Provide Institutional and Social Development (ISD) sipport to other professional disciplines to ensure the involvement of all stakeholders on their projects. These disciplines include:

• Housing
• Environmental services
• Infrastructure development not Engineering
• Land Restitution process
• Geotechnical Services
• Water and Sanitation services
• Disaster Risk Assessment audits
• Development of disaster Management Plans

Preparation and verification of Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) - Participate in the compilation of municipal IDPs and, when required, assist in the verification of IDPs with their communities.
